Our free Volunteer Visitor Program matches you with a new friend to join you for a cup of tea, get involved with your hobby or, if you like, you can be matched with someone who brings a fresh perspective and new interests. The choice is yours!

At Wesley Mission Queensland, we celebrate the diversity of our volunteers. Every older person is unique, and so are our volunteers. People from all walks of life, with different talents and experiences, come together to make a difference every day.
You can request a volunteer from a particular age group, with particular interests or shares the same hobbies as you. Or, if you like, you can be matched with someone with different interests and hobbies.
All of our volunteers have passed a police background check and training.
This scheme profoundly impacts everyone involved, with opportunities to share stories and feel a sense of purpose. If you want to become a Volunteer Visitor, we would love to hear from you. Giving time this way is as valuable to you as the older person you support.

All Volunteer Visitors must have on file an active NDIS Working Screen Check (which can be applied for through us at no cost to you) and proof they have received two primary COVID-19 vaccinations.
