YHES House

YHES House is a safe, youth-friendly community hub that provides a non-judgemental space where young people are welcomed, listened to, and respected. Our services are available either through our centre or at outreach points.

Overview

If you're aged between 12 - 25 years you can access services at YHES House. If you're aged between 8 - 11 years and have an older sibling (aged 12 - 25 years) receiving support, you are also eligible to access our services. Our staff and volunteers are here to help you get your life on track and work towards your goals.

YHES House can help you if you:

  • Are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless
  • Are struggling with life and need someone to talk to
  • Are having issues with drugs and alcohol
  • Have questions about sex and sexuality
  • Are pregnant and need support
  • Are having relationship problems
  • Are a young parent looking for social and parenting support
  • Need health advice
  • Need a safe place to stop in, have a shower, do some laundry and use the Internet
  • Need a referral and advocacy.

Other services

Drop In service

We have a drop in service on Mondays and Thursdays  –  for young people aged 8 - 21 years.

Access to Centrelink

Wednesday mornings, 10am to 12pm, fortnightly. Please call us on 07 5528 5333 to book an appointment.

Gold Coast Youth Support Services

Gold Coast Youth Support Services is a free and voluntary and service that provides practical and emotional support with issues such as relationships, school, work, homelessness and harm. Read more about Gold Coast Youth Support Services or contact YHES House for more information.

Young Parents Program

The Young Parents Program is for parents aged 12 - 25 years and includes childbirth education and support, as well as a support group for new parents. Read more about the Young Parents Program or contact YHES House for more information.
