The Mental Health Community Support Services (MHCSS) on the Gold Coast offers two support programs, both available for up to 12 months:
The Individual Recovery Support Program provides personalised, non-clinical support for people on their mental health recovery journey.
This program runs for up to 12 months, with higher-intensity support in the first three months, followed by lower-intensity support for the remaining nine months.
It also serves as a pathway to the Group-Based Peer Recovery Support Program (read more below).

This peer program empowers individuals by fostering social connections, building support networks, and developing new skills —all in a fun, group-based setting.
The Group Based Peer Recovery Program was developed and is facilitated by qualified peer workers with their own lived experience of mental health and recovery.

Access is via referral from the Individual Recovery Support Program. Your recovery worker will introduce you to the Peer Team and assist with the referral process.
