The Wesley Charter is characterised into three areas: what we value, the way we work, and what we strive for and is represented as a “Charter Wheel”, consisting of 3 connected and moving parts.
The Charter Wheel has become an effective tool for all staff across Wesley Mission Queensland, helping embed the Charter values in everyday thinking and behaviours and in turn, make a difference to the lives of the Queenslanders who we support every year.
As an organisation, we value:

George, a client of Wesley Mission Queensland's Home Care services, loved woodwork but ill health saw him give up his hobby. Guided by the domains of connectedness and joy, George’s care worker set about bringing George’s passion back - together they made a picnic table, along with various other pieces.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, staff noticed how residents at Wesley Mission Queensland's Parkview Aged Care Community missed walking to the corner store for ice creams. Using the Wesley Charter to find a solution, the team constructed a magnificent ice cream cart that was wheeled door to door, bringing the joy of a Sunday afternoon ice cream to residents.
