Our Relief Hub in 1900s, long before it became the Brisbane Relief Hub in Fortitude Valley


Can you guess where this photo was taken? Wesley Mission Queensland's history stretches back to before the 1900s! During the Great Depression, we provided meals, shelter and emergency relief to men who had lost their jobs and were facing tough times.

This was our Relief Hub, long before it became the Brisbane Relief Hub in Fortitude Valley that we know today! Back then, shelves were stacked with things like preserves, eggs and pineapples aplenty. We are so proud that this support continues today!
